Schloss & Gut Wendlinghausen

The park owes its existence to Ernst von Reden (1806 – 1869), who converted the former cow meadows, which were about 2 hectares in size, into a park with numerous foreign trees and bushes.

The well-kept English garden with its stately number of rare trees from all over the world has become an important centre of modern art thanks to sculptures by famous artists (see also www.eghn.org).

With the resting forest belonging to the castle, all interested people also have the opportunity to find a place as the last one
Resting place to choose between beech trees and magnificent oaks, in the castle’s own forest.

The park is open from April to October from 8.00-17.00 and by appointment

Guided tours through the resting forest every Saturday at 14:00 hrs
