In action for the Land des Hermann
We, Lippe Tourismus & Marketing GmbH, are responsible for marketing the “Land des Hermann” region on behalf of our shareholders. This is carried out through both internal and external marketing activities in the fields of tourism and location marketing.
Our task is to support all towns and municipalities in Lippe — and, by extension, the local retail, gastronomy and hotel sectors — by generating visitor traffic and increasing purchasing power.

- Product development
- Partnerships & networks
- Project participation and management
The foundation of our tourism marketing is the analysis of statistical data, trend studies and our own continuous evaluation process, which has been carried out since 2009.
This evaluation rests on three pillars:
- Surveys at excursion destinations across the region,
- Surveys at selected major events,
- Special surveys on specific topics.
In this context, an average of 6,000 visitors are interviewed annually.
Enhancing service quality is a continuous process for us. We, along with many regional tourist information centres, have participated in the “Service Q” programme of the German Tourism Association and have been awarded certification.
Additionally, we have trained inspectors for star classification of holiday flats, houses and guesthouses, quality coaches for hiking-friendly businesses, and we can evaluate cycle-friendly accommodations in line with ADFC’s Bett + Bike standards as well as certify premium hiking trails according to the German Hiking Association’s criteria.
In addition to our core responsibilities, we actively participate in and support projects that aim to make the region even more attractive.
