About the picture:
"When I was asked what I associate with Lage, I immediately thought of the half-timbered house in Rhienstrasse," says Ingrid Augat. Perhaps because the ingredients she needs for her hobby can be found inside the house. For the painting "Fachwerkhaus", Ingrid Augat used acrylic paint, which she gave an additional texture with sand. Her picture is amusingly colorful, almost like naive painting. Hats fly through the air and give the picture a cheerful touch. "I tried to capture the feeling that I associate with this business on canvas".
For the artist, the house is a house with surprises and yet it has something down-to-earth about it. To reconcile these two ideas, the artist took numerous photos and detailed shots. "It's all somewhat abstract," she says. She particularly enjoyed playing with color, with the bright shades of blue, red and green. For her, Lage is a beautiful city, you just have to look closely to discover life, color and cheerfulness.Good to know
