Embark on a culinary journey through the Lippe region and get to know various producers of delicacies from Lippe (sustainably).
The Lipp e-Bike Tour consists of two different day tours starting in Detmold, on which you can admire the regional half-timbered architecture and enjoy sweeping views of the Lippe countryside. Along the way, you will stop off at 3 businesses where, on presentation of the vouchers, you will receive selected, high-quality products from regional production and thus help to make Lippe a little more sustainable.

Directions

The second Lipp e-bike tour leads from Detmold via Lage Heiden in the direction of Lemgo, then to Dörentrup and back to Detmold via Donop.
The tour starts again at Detmold railroad station and first leads over the rampart to the first stop in the city center, the Bioland bakery Naturkraft. With a little refreshment in your luggage, you head back towards Industriestraße. Via Arminstraße you come to the park at Jahnplatz and from there to the large intersection at Lagesche Straße. Turn right at the junction and then immediately left again onto Niewaldstraße. At the next junction, turn right into Bremker Straße and after a few hundred meters follow the agricultural road to the left towards Heiden.
Here you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view over the fields and can usually also see some sheep directly along the way. In Heiden, pass the church and turn right onto Bentruper Straße. After a few meters, follow the little-used Tropenhagener Straße to the left at the fork. Once you have passed the small hill in Tropenhagen, turn left after a few meters onto the "Heidensche Trift" field path. Follow the road over a bridge until you reach a housing estate, where you turn right onto Laubker Weg. From there, follow the Pahnsiek cycle path straight ahead until you reach the bridge in front of Lemgo town center. The old town of Lemgo and the terraces on the Bega invite you to take a stroll.
After the break in Lemgo, continue past the Eau-lé towards Brake Castle. Here, a small path on the left behind the castle leads through the greenery, along the Bega and the railroad tracks. At the end of the cycle path, at the sharp right-hand bend, a small path leads straight ahead along the field up the hill. At the top, you will be rewarded with a beautiful view over the fields of Lemgo. At the next fork, follow the field to the left and continue straight ahead until you reach the T-junction on Mittelstraße in the Begatal valley. Here you turn right and have to negotiate a small ascent. After a few hundred meters, take the second left onto Königsstraße and then follow the gravel road downhill towards Farmbeck. At the bottom, cross Farmbecker Straße to get onto the cycle path opposite and cycle to the traffic lights at Landgasthaus Begatal. Diagonally opposite, the Sanderhof Foundation awaits you with an extensive range of coffee and cakes and plenty of space for young and old to enjoy and discover. Here you can enjoy a coffee specialty of your choice with a slice of homemade cake.
After refreshments in the farm café, the route continues towards Dörentrup-Humfeld. Here you will find one of the oldest farms in the Lippe region - the Begatal distillery. The distillery is located on beautiful grounds with lots of trees and a pond. The small farm store straight ahead has a gin specialty and a matching tonic water from its own production ready for you.
You then leave Dörentrup via the country road "Untere Dorfstraße" and finally turn right onto Bahnhofstraße towards Wendlinghausen. The road here has little traffic and is flat, so you can enjoy the descent into the next village without having to pedal too much. Follow the road through the small village of Betzen to Wendlinghausen, where you can visit the garden of Wendlinghausen Castle on the right. Turn left here to Sievertsberg. Watch out for the soapbox racers who may come down the hill. At the top, you can enjoy the varied landscape on one of the benches before taking the somewhat stony descent on the right towards Hagendonop. At the next T-junction, take the descent on the left onto the road "Hagendonop" down to Donop. The road curves left to Ostwestfalenstraße. You have to cross the main road here and cycle along the less busy main road and Dalborner Straße until you reach a small wooded area, where you take the slightly bumpy descent on the right towards Biesen. Cross a small bridge over the Passade and follow Passadestraße until you reach Barntruper Straße on the right. After a small ascent, you will reach the Hellsiek landfill site on the left-hand side via a small wooded area. Behind the landfill, a path on the right leads to the village of Detmold Hohenwart. You finally cross Barntruper Straße over a large bridge and come to Detmold airfield on the right. Here, a small gravel recreational path leads along the hangar across Hohe Straße towards Detmold town center. From there, follow Behringstraße on the right to get back to Kronenplatz.
