Friedrich-Ebert-Straße 4
The former Elsbach company, succeeded by the Ahlers company, is significant for the development of working and production conditions in the town of Lage. With the exception of the 1911 building, all subsequent buildings were designed by one and the same architectural firm, the architects Fr. and K. Richts from Lage. Their plans are very meticulous, clean in detail and accompany the economic development of the company with a continuous signature.
The access door to the stairwell with its skylight from the time of construction is remarkable. The Ahlers company logo, a double A and the Lippe rose, is applied to the glass. The Ahlers complex fits perfectly into the urban structure of the area around the station and its familiar image has become an identifying feature.Good to know
