In the course of the Christianization of the fire wheel run to the Easter wheel run, this term was transferred to the practitioners of this old custom.
The Dechenverein Lügde is the organizer of the Easter wheel run in Lügde and the keeper of a historical custom of the forefathers. It has around 600 members, who carry out the countless tasks required to keep the tradition alive.
