Bösingfeld with hiking lime tree
The starting point of the circular tour through Extertal is the hiking lime tree in the center of Bösingfeld. The more than 100-year-old tree is a meeting point for hikers, cyclists and other groups and also the starting point for hikes around Bösingfeld. There are plenty of free parking spaces available here
Meierberg with bell tower
The first climbs are over and the village of Meierberg with its striking bell tower invites you to take a short break. From here, the route continues downhill with unique views over the Weser Uplands towards Bremke. On a clear day, you can even see as far as the Kaiser Wilhelm monument at Porta Westfalica.
Silixen with Bauernstelle and windmill "SilWia"
After a detour into the neighboring Schaumburger Land, benches are available for a leisurely rest at the lovingly designed Bauernstelle - a square in the middle of the village, characterized by the free-standing archway of an old farmhouse. Between Silixen and Kükenbruch, the first Extertal wind turbine "SilWia", built in 1998, characterizes the landscape.
Almena with Almenaer Berg and Spritzenhaus
On the plateau of the Almenaer Berg, the tour crosses the "Weg der Blicke" and offers a panoramic view over the Extertal. The listed Spritzenhaus, which was renovated in 2006, is one of Almena's sights. It is located in the immediate vicinity of the small stream "Alme" and marks the start of the most challenging ascent of this tour.
