ErlebnisGradierWerk

In July 2007, after more than eight months of construction, the Bad Salzufler ErlebnisGradierwerk was put into operation. The replacement building for the oldest graduation house in the city, which had shaped the cityscape of Bad Salzuflen since 1767 and had to be demolished in 2004, has become the most modern of its kind in Europe. The graduation house, which was built from scratch, not only gives an insight into the construction of the graduation houses, but also accommodates a number of special features. It is sprinkled both from the outside and from the inside with brine extracted from a depth of up to 1,000 metres.

Outlook platform

A massive wooden staircase leads to the viewing platform in the rustic entrance area of the accessible graduation house. There you can enjoy wonderful views over the entire graduation house ensemble and the spa architecture of Bad Salzuflen as well as over the spa gardens.

Salt cloud chamber

Inside, a bridge leads to the area of the graduation house, which is intensely permeated by salty air and invites you to take a deep breath. A passage with small resting niches leads into the brine cloud chamber. With soft music and a starry sky changing in colour, you can relax wonderfully here.

And by the way, with every breath, the invigorating microparticles of the healthy air act like a fresh cell cure on the immune system. Tiny water droplets, so-called aerosols, stimulate the blood circulation of the lungs and the transport of oxygen into the blood in a completely natural way when inhaled – an energy kick for every body cell and a benefit for body, mind and soul.
