.
Simply fabulous – the Panorama Tour is a circular route and leads once around the top of the Köterberg, which at 496 metres is the highest elevation in the Lippe Mountains.
This tour leads on mainly natural paths on about 4 km once around the top of the Köterberg and through the abandoned settlement Strohberg. Shortly after starting in the village of Köterberg, the Red Wall offers an impressive insight into the geological structure of the mountain. On meadow paths and light forest edge paths with comfortable benches you can enjoy fantastic views of the wide landscape again and again. Twice you cross the border of North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony on this hike. The narrow border tube of Lower Saxony still bears witness to the territorial claims of the Duke of Braunschweig, combined with the hope of having access to the supposed treasures of the mountain.
The nature experience path around the Lügder Schildberg invites you to explore the fascinating animal and plant world of the forest with all your senses.
Our forest has many important functions: It protects the soil, provides water, ensures clean air, supplies us with wood and is home to many plants and animals. The 4 km long nature adventure trail conveys a lot of exciting information about the forest with the help of information boards suitable for children. The stations awaken the creativity and curiosity of the children and take them on an exciting search for traces.
